Leave the course better than you found it.
One of the traits of good golfers is that they show respect for the golf course and a sense of community with others. Fill in or replace your divots no matter what kind of shot you hit. Repair ball marks on the green and one or two others that previous players neglected. Lay the flagstick down instead of dropping it and tamp down any spike marks around the hole when you replace it. Pick up any cans, bottles, or paper on the course as you go.If the course is clean, golfers will think twice before littering. When you do the little things to take care of the course as you play, your fellow players will follow your example and make the course better for everyone.
